Creative direction – Richard Duffy, RBD Design
I was asked by Richard Duffy to create a series of animated ‘heads up display’ graphics and technical drawings to accompany a promotional video for Integral Powertrain; an engineering firm based in Milton Keynes. These animations would be a subtle feature of the final piece, but would help demonstrate the high-end technology and research that the client is known for.
Many of the HUD style graphics were inspired by science fiction films and real life user interface design, while the animated mechanical drawings were created from actual schematics of Integral Powertrain’s products. This project was an enjoyable opportunity to play around with new ideas and practice elemental animation techniques to create smooth, believable animations.
